Haiku

So has I sit in the computer lab finishing my photos I began to ask my self why I chose to do this project about alcohol? Maybe because in the past few weeks I have seen many people that are close to me break down because of the need of alcohol.... These are my five photos that we were ask to do. The first four is about Alcoholism and the fifth is just a random photo.

I despise you and
your repulsive tentacles,
turning all to cunts.

To be considered beautiful do I have to look like you?
For my work to be seen has great does it has to be what the human eye is use to seeing?
To be differnt, why do we have to be considered deviant?
Because society tells us, Thats why

JUST WONDERING WHATS NEXT

As I sit in class wondering what I will do for my next project, I began to think about my life. Going back to what I posted before, I would like for my work to have true meaning, I want my work to touch people lives. So  I think my next project would be about my life..... Im not sure how it will turn out or am I sure if I will even go through with it, but this is were my thoughts are at this moment. My professor would like for us to write a Haiku about our present and the past and the relate them to photographs that we take. This project is going to interesting,  I am actually looking forward to this!!! this is not a Haiku but I think this is the start of my project.....

I hear yelling
I see tears
I see blood
I smell death

First Class Project: The secret about one of my classmates

Doing this project was a different experience for me. This was my first time taking a night shot, and also taking a photo of something that I had know interest in. I took this as more of a learning experience to learn how to work with color correction, and sharpening. Even though it was a photo that has no interest to me, I like of the photo because it displays how I felt while taking this photo.

Finding Meaning in the ‘Empire of Images’

Just recently I realize for me to be truly happy with my work, my photographs will need to have true meaning. At this point I don't have a focus. I say that I want to do fashion photography but when I look at my work it is more meaningful then fashion. I tend to stare more into African American photography. I like Art that makes me feel emotion, good or bad.
The first two photos that you see posted of the little girl and the man with the hands on his head is my work. The third photo “Notes on the Margin of the Black Book,” a 1991-1993 work by the Bronx-born artist Glenn Ligon and the last photo of the semi nude women is by a Artist name Ellis Martin.
